After our recent relaunch with a new design and a new focus here at AVFCreations.com, we're struggling with the same thing most business do when they go online or decide to change their online presence - what do we put on the site? We have to face the struggle against the blank screen every day here, but not only for ourselves, also often for our clients. Content is king, but what do you do when you're not sure what content you should provide? For us, it makes sense to provide marketing insight - after all, that's what we do - but for many businesses the solution may not be so clear. The key is to think of what would be helpful and interesting to your potential clients. Say you sell swimming pools and pool supplies for example. You might have a catalog of products or brochure style site online, but what does that offer the consumer beyond what they can get anywhere else? The key is to offer advice. How often should I add chemicals to my pool? How do I know if the filter needs to be changed or backwashed? Or any of hundreds of other questions could be the basis for compelling and useful content on that web site. In any business you have interactions with clients and during those interactions you have probably noticed recurring questions or themes - or perhaps there's something you wish clients or potential clients knew. Tell them. Not only are you providing a valuable service and therefore making yourself more valuable and more knowledgeable in the eyes of the client, added content will increase your search engine visibility, especially when that content directly relates to some question people are probably typing in at their favorite search engine right now. Content is king. It's not just a catchy phrase - it's the truth. P.S. - Be on the lookout for some new features on this site soon as we work to bring online some items (beyond just article content) we believe will be very valuable to our online audience.
